6 pupils to engage, equip, empower &amp; enable the children to undertake projects that impact our world for the good both on a local &amp; global level.&nbsp; The children in Oak are particularly passionate about environmental issues and being responsible stewards of our wonderful world.<\/p>\n<p>The projects are the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.we.org\/en-GB\/our-work\/we-day\/we-day-community-events\/we-day-community-nottingham-2019\">We Act Project<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.archbishopofyorkyouthtrust.co.uk\/young-leaders-award\">Arch Bishop of York Youth Trust Young Leaders Award<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The children went to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.we.org\/en-GB\/our-work\/we-day\/we-day-community-events\/we-day-community-nottingham-2019\">Nottingham We Community Day<\/a> at the Royal Concert Hall in November to celebrate a year of action that has transformed communities and changed lives &amp; to be inspired to pick up the baton.&nbsp; The world renowned speakers included Martin Luther King III, Vicky McLure, Emilio Estevez, Brooke Kinsella, Laura Whitmore &amp; Ornella Barra.<\/p>\n<p>The Young Leaders Award is a leadership and character education programme that shows young people that they have the power to change the world by transforming society.<\/p>\n<p><i>\u2018Among the most significant purposes of education are forming people of love, care and compassion, with a deep sense of hope, who appreciate beauty and wonder and who serve the world by their gifts.\u2019&nbsp;
