Forest School

At Linby cum Papplewick C of E Primary School, we are fortunate to have an extensive outdoor area surrounded by beautiful woodland—an ideal setting for our Forest School provision. Our natural environment provides the perfect backdrop for exploration, discovery and hands-on learning in the outdoors.

Each year, every child has the opportunity to take part in three blocks of Forest School sessions led by our trained Forest School practitioner, Georgia. During these 45 minute sessions, children take part in a wide range of activities designed to build confidence, resilience and independence. They learn practical outdoor skills, work collaboratively on problem-solving challenges and develop a deeper connection with the natural world. Forest School supports physical, emotional and social development, offering children a unique and enriching learning experience that they look forward to year after year.
